Speed Skating Championship
The First National SSC Inline Speed Skating Championship was a national event organized by Sprint Skating Club (Kenya) that was held at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on the 10th of April 2022 from 0800 hrs. To 1800 hrs. The event attracted 321 participants from 28 different clubs across the country including two clubs from DRC Congo, and over 709 spectators including parents, sponsors and the event officials.
Athletes were competing in 18 categories, masters and marathon which were clustered based on age and gender. The youngest was 3 years and the oldest was 44 years. The championship kicked off at 0800 hrs with the 42kms marathon and the awarding ceremony closed the event.

Introduction
Sprint Skating Club offers healthy training sessions and contests in an effort to raise awareness of inline skating as a sport in Kenya and throughout Africa. Our tagline, “skating with a cause,” comes from our commitment to developing talent into careers and, most importantly, to bringing young, ambitious skaters from all walks of life to the sport, training them, and teaching them how to be decent citizens someday.
